Software Engineer

Building web applications for more than 6 years through freelancing and remote work. Touched every part of the SDLC and every aspect through the process of building and scaling software.

Built more than a dozen of web pages and applications. From simplest to complex and enterprise-level apps. Specialized in custom development and adjusting to the client’s needs.

Leader

Led teams of 5+ as tech and non-tech person. Held 1:1’s, mentored beginner and junior developers, was involved in hiring processes (non-tech and tech interviews, tasks evaluation), took part in Project and Product Management to be able to sync better within the teams (both tech and non-tech)

Enthusiast

Building software, scaling it and owning it was always what drove my passion. In some aspects, I’m very keen on technology, but in others, I’m aware of it’s potential and security risks. Although I work mainly as a tech person professionally – in my private life (aside from testing things) there are no smart-home features, or various gadgets that “help” you in your daily life. I’m an enthusiast about tech, but nature also, so I balance between.

You ask – I answer!

A Software Developer with over 6 years of exceptional experience. Aspiring to get into the management and learn new things every day!

31 year old husband, father to four kids, music and sports enthusiast.

The place is called “where the money revolves”, so it’s obviously Donji Miholjac, Croatia (or somewhere near in the wild wilderness)

Backend Development in PHP. But transcended language and framework barriers to be able to adapt any and in any environment.

I mainly work as a contractor, meaning C2C/B2B arrangements, not as an employee. Can work on a project basis, monthly installments, hourly rate etc.

Yeah, I can (and did) work with juniors! Regardless of whether it’s within the team, 1:1 guiding, or within a production team.

Also, yeah! Been doing intro and tech interviews. I like to do it my way (pre-discussed with managers), as I think today’s standards when interviewing are plain bad and desperately in need of a rework.

I’m terribly sorry, but I won’t. Not because I’m some kind of a “wise guy” or anything, but because 95% of the spoken tests are determining nothing (too simple or too abstract) and the person that is going through it is in most cases not capable of determining the current and potential ability of the candidate. Maybe if a FAANG company requires me to do so, I would, but please, keep your horses together. And actually, even so, I would not do it. I made my peace with it and doing well regardless.

I have available references, Q&A me, go deep on each project, whatever. If after that you are not sure if we should work together, the answer is probably – no.
